Christmas Eve

Christmas day started like most days in our house…Darcy begging for some coffee…

And watching a show before breakfast…

We hung out around our house for most of the day, had a nap, then got ready for the festivities!

(ignore the kid playing in the trash can.)

We met up with my family at Firebird’s for dinner.

We had a great dinner! Afterward, we headed to my parents’ church for their candlelight service. Matt was speaking, so I was glad my whole family could be there to hear him. The girls got a little restless, especially when we lit all the candles, but so did every other kid in there so it wasn’t a big deal.

After the service, we went back to my parents house to open gifts. Delaney was extremely excited about this part, but I could tell that both girls were getting pretty tired.

Delaney got a big girl bike! She has had a tricycle that she outgrew over the summer, and has been wanting a bike because she sees all of the bigger kids in our neighborhood riding them.

Darcy had fun playing with bows and paper.

Delaney got dressed in her other gifts, and we took the bike out for s test drive (it was about 60 degrees here on Christmas!).

She totally didn’t get it the first time, but after a few days of practice, she’s a pro!

We had a great time, but by the end of the night I had two grumpy/sleepy kiddos. They crashed in the car and got some good rest for the next day!
